Reporting to the Director, Commercial Operations, the Associate Director, Field Operations will be critical in optimizing our field force efforts as Viridian prepares for their first commercial product launch. This role will be instrumental in ensuring our field systems and processes are built to optimize field execution by providing strategic support and execution in Veeva CRM, sales leadership enablement, and field inquiries management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pharmaceutical sales operations and a proven ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions. This role is based in our Waltham, MA headquarters. Our office-based employees are required to work in the office three (3) days a week. Responsibilities

(including, but not limited to): Veeva CRM Management: Oversee the long-term strategy and day-to-day administration and optimization of Veeva CRM, ensuring data integrity, system functionality, reporting, and user adoption. Collaborate with IT and commercial teams to align field strategy to Veeva CRM capabilities, suggesting and implementing new Veeva features, enhancements, and integrations. Responsible for ensuring enhancements meet business needs, supporting all build, user acceptance testing, and sign off on functional requirements. Develop and maintain Veeva CRM best practices, guidelines, and support in training materials. Collaborate with data analytics and business intelligence teams to ensure Veeva functionality supports the capture of key information necessary for sales performance measurement and CRM usage Partner with data management, analytics, and field force effectiveness to ensure HCP/HCO target lists, affiliations, territory alignment processes all up to date and accurate from data source to Veeva CRM. Design the CRM data change requests (DCR) process, providing support and training to field teams, in addition to driving operational performance from request to data management MDM. Troubleshoot and resolve Veeva CRM user issues and work with external Veeva partners and IT to provide ongoing technical support. Field Sales Support: Partner with sales leadership to understand their strategic objectives and provide operational support to achieve sales targets. Develop, implement, and support processes to enable sales force activities, including territory alignment, support segmentation and targeting efforts, and call planning. Serve as a primary point of contact for field commercial effectiveness teams regarding operational inquiries and support, providing adhoc analytics as needed. Support evolving field focused business needs, with the ability to lead or contribute cross functionally as they emerge. Utilize a deep understanding of various pharmaceutical commercial data sets (e.g., Rx data, claims data, physician prescribing patterns, HUB/SP/SD data, sales force activity data) to inform reporting and derive meaningful insights to support the field. Provide insights and recommendations to sales leadership based on data analysis to drive informed decision-making. Manage the field vehicle reimbursement program, ensuring the program meets the needs of users, that licenses are assigned and removed in a timely fashion, and support any adhoc training and analytics. Training and Development: Partner with the head of training to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs for the field sales team on Veeva CRM, sales processes, and reporting tools. Travel to local and national team meetings to provide CRM sales support and training. Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and develop targeted solutions. Onboard new hires to relevant systems and operational procedures. Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred (MBA or related field)), with 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial operations in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry Excellent leadership and project management skills with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives Proven track record of building and managing Veeva CRM with large commercial field teams Experience supporting field teams operationally, including Veeva CRM, sales analytics, and business intelligence tools Strong understanding and experience working with pharmaceutical commercial data sets, such as SP, SD, HUB, Claims (APLD), Syndicated data sets (DDD, Xponent), etc. Experience with HCP/HCO affiliations, segmentation and targeting efforts, field sales call planning, field force territory alignment processes Established track record with evidence of excellent problem-solving skills, cross functional collaboration, leadership and communication skills Experience and comfort working with large healthcare datasets (Claims, 3PL, SP, SD, HUB, Payer data) Ability to work in a fast-paced, new product launch environment and to handle multiple tasks based on priorities Strong commitment to ethical standards Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) Ability to travel up to 10% The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience Viridian offers a comprehensive benefits package including: · C ompetitive pay and stock options for all employees ·
