Junior Electrical Engineer – Space Systems / Aerospace Hardware A growing space-tech company is seeking a
Junior Electrical Engineer
(entry level) to join a mission-driven team building custom small satellite platforms. This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate to gain real ownership in building flight-ready electronics — and get hands-on with everything from design through testing. You’ll work closely with senior engineers across disciplines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you'll grow your skills in PCB design, prototyping, and space-grade hardware development. Full relocation to Santa Barbara, CA is required. What You’ll Do Assist in the design of spacecraft electronics, including avionics, power systems, sensors, and harnessing Contribute to schematic capture, parts selection, and PCB layout Perform basic troubleshooting, prototyping, and validation with support from senior engineers Collaborate with cross-functional teammates on full spacecraft design and integration Learn how to bring spaceflight electronics from concept to production in a non-siloed, hands-on team What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field Strong academic or project experience with electronics and/or embedded systems Familiarity with PCB tools and basic lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) Passion for building, problem-solving, and learning in a collaborative environment Bonus Skills Personal, academic, or internship experience in drones, UAVs, robotics, or embedded systems Exposure to SPI, RS-422/485 protocols, or low-level board bring-up Demonstrated interest in aerospace or space hardware Compensation Base salary:
$100,000 – $120,000 , with flexibility for exceptional candidates Equity/options may be included Interview Process Initial call with hiring manager Offer + background check This is a unique opportunity for a new engineer to make a tangible impact on real spacecraft hardware while learning from some of the best in the field.
