Position Summary:
The HR Generalist will be a pivotal force in delivering seamless HR operations, with responsibilities spanning payroll administration, employee benefits, leave management, and HRIS reporting. This role calls for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who brings strong organizational skills, technological fluency, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities: Payroll Administration Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies Benefits Administration Administer employee benefit programs (health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, etc.) Support annual open enrollment and benefit changes throughout the year Serve as liaison between employees and benefit providers HRIS & Reporting Maintain HRIS data integrity and perform regular audits Generate reports and dashboards for compliance, metrics, and decision-making support Support system upgrades and new HR technology implementation General HR Support Assist in onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, compliance, and performance management processes Support internal policy implementation and documentation Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies Leave Management Administer and oversee all aspects of employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, parental leave, paid time off (PTO), and other statutory or company-sponsored leave policies Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to leave administration Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave requests, status updates, and return-to-work procedures Maintain confidential records and ensure timely communication throughout the leave lifecycle Monitor leave trends and provide reporting and insights to support workforce planning and policy development Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 5-7 years of HR experience with a focus on payroll, benefits, and HRIS Working knowledge of federal and state HR/payroll laws and regulations Proficient in HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, Paycom, UKG, Workday) Strong analytical and reporting skills; advanced Excel proficiency preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Preferred Qualifications: PHR or SHRM-CP certification Experience in a multi-state or mid-size company (400+ employees) Familiarity with ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and other compliance requirements Paylocity Experience Required
