Position Overview : The Regional Medical Director provides therapy and/or medication management to diagnose and treat patients.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Deliver clinical services meeting or exceeding community standards, adhering to medical ethics and qualifications.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments using the bio-psycho-social model.
- Identify psychiatric conditions per DSM-5 criteria.
- Develop treatment plans collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Manage psychopharmacologic treatments.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Coordinate hospitalizations when necessary.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families.
- Work with medical assistants to streamline workflows.
Other Duties :
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
- At least five years of mental health experience, including three years in clinical supervision and leadership roles.
- Professional registration/certification as required by state/national authorities.
