Position Overview
Were seeking a skilled Orthodontist to join our founding team. You'll play a crucial role in shaping our practice and delivering high-quality, patient-focused orthodontic treatment.

- Board eligibility or certification in orthodontics (though not mandatory for licensure)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skillschild-friendly and team-oriented
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to patient-centered care
- Tech-savvy, with interest in digital workflows (e.g., intraoral scanning, Invisalign systems)
- Flexibility to commit to ~12 working days per month

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for children and adolescents referred by pediatric dentists
- Provide comprehensive orthodontic services (braces, clear aligners, retainers, phase I treatments, etc.)
- Collaborate with pediatric dental colleagues and staff to ensure seamless care coordination
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in orthodontics
Licensing & Requirements (District of Columbia)
Candidates Must Satisfy DC Licensure Standards, Including
- Dental Education & Specialty Training: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from a CODA-accredited dental school, plus completion of an accredited orthodontic residency.
- Pass Required Examinations:
- The Integrated National Board Dental Examination (INBDE), or previously NBDE parts I & II
- DC accepts regional clinical exams (e.g., ADEX/NERB)
- Completion of DCs take-home law exam on district rules/regulations
- Certifications:
- Current CPR/BLS certification
