Accounting Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Venice, Florida. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in supporting our accounts payable and receivable operations while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic wholesale distribution company. Responsibilities: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness. Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records are up to date. Accurately code and process invoices for payment. Collaborate with team members to track and resolve discrepancies in financial data. Utilize Sage X3 and Excel to maintain and update financial records. Assist in streamlining and automating payment processes. Communicate with suppliers to ensure payment details are accurate and complete. Monitor and document missing or incomplete data to support process improvements. Support the finance team in other administrative tasks as needed. Requirements: Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes. Proficiency in using Sage X3 or similar accounting software. Ability to accurately code and process invoices. Skilled in using Excel for data tracking and analysis. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and team members. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
