Pay Information $2,182 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: State license required by start date Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - Telemetry experience - Experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Travel experience Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in step down care. The role requires commitment to work weekends, with three weekends scheduled per four-week cycle. Clinicians will float within their scope to meet facility needs. Patient ratios will be between 1:4 to 1:6. The patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics, focusing on pre and post-operative care, cardiac conditions, and trauma. The nurse will work with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Candidates should be able to manage various clinical situations, including administering medications, monitoring telemetry, and interpreting dysrhythmias. A background in cardiac telemetry and management of ventilated patients is essential. Preferred skills include experience with procedural sedation, central line management, and care of ventilated patients. The facility is a short-term acute care setting with substantial interdisciplinary support.
