Position Summary: Stratus Networks is seeking a highly organized and technologically proficient Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in a hybrid capacity. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of accounts payable operations. As a rapidly growing organization, we anticipate this role will expand in scope and offer the opportunity to evolve into a managerial position as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation Enter accounts payable transactions into accounting software Code expenses to the correct general ledger accounts Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards) Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment information Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP Track and file accounts payable documents for recordkeeping and audit purposes Support preparation of annual 1099 forms for vendors Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices or missing documentation Collaborate with purchasing and other departments to verify capital expenditures and expense allocations Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Required) Experience with QuickBooks Online (a plus) Experience with NetSuite (a plus) Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general technology tools Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
