We are looking for a dedicated part-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join a team in Wilmington, Delaware. This hybrid role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial processes while honing your expertise in accounts payable and related systems. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, ideal for individuals seeking a long-term career path. Responsibilities: Process and organize vendor invoices, ensuring proper allocation to appropriate payors. Request and verify vendor payment details and W-9 documentation when necessary. Review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies. Collaborate with purchasers to obtain invoice approval and required supporting documents. Maintain detailed records by entering invoices into spreadsheets and uploading them to the general ledger. Distribute invoices for approval and monitor responses to ensure timely processing. Input payment details into banking systems for final approval. Prepare invoice data for accurate entry into QuickBooks and other accounting systems. Utilize Excel for tracking and reporting financial information. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with spreadsheet management. Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in financial documentation. Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred, but training can be provided. Solid understanding of accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment setup. Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs. Effective communication skills for vendor and internal team collaboration. Ability to work in a hybrid work environment.
