Community Partnership Engagement Manager
(Project/Program Manager III) to bring their
lived
and technical experience to serve on the Community Engagement and Partnerships team, as a part of a team of co-leads and will be working closely with others in the Director’s Office, Public Health Divisions including Communications, and other departments to address health inequities and Racism as a Public Health Crisis. This position is especially critical to our community given the disproportionate impacts of racism and systematic marginalization.
The selected will work with Community Navigators, priority populations and community organizations to improve the health of residents in the community, address the social determinants of health and improve outcomes for the most marginalized residents in the community, and shift our work in the community to Racism is a Public Health Crisis. Along with other co-leads, this position will work with Community Navigators and manage their contracts. They will also reach across departments in King County to work with other programs who may require the support of Navigators.
Reporting to the Community Partnership Manager, the Community Partnership Engagement Manager will work with our community to center pro-equity and anti-racism in all efforts and in building pro-equity capacity at all levels of the department.
The work in this position is anticipated to last through 12/31/2023 with no possibility of extension.

Support and coordinate department’s community engagement and partnerships with a broad set of community partner organizations such as community-based organizations, community members, internal and external partnerships Co-facilitate planning group meetings with partnership group with Community Navigators and interested community members Serve as a Project Monitor for Community Navigators within the Community Partnership and Engagement Team Highlight and summarize feedback that will be shared with different teams and Public Health programs, such as Communications team, Policy, and others programs/communication efforts. Support with monthly PH Partnership meeting, which includes community organizations, Navigators, county staff and Black, Indigenous and People of color, Assist with the creation of work plan and timelines Attend meetings with Tuberculosis Program bi-weekly with a few of the navigators assigned to TB work in the community among Priority populations Must have experience reading and interpreting contracts or RFPs, or the ability to learn Must have experience working with African American, Native American, and other communities with health disparities Must understand how to apply an antiracist lens to their work Must be proficient at Microsoft products Demonstrated commitment to Equity and Social Justice principles and practices Demonstrated strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, strong attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to attend meetings at various locations throughout the county in a timely fashion

Work location:
The work for this position will be performed predominantly via telecommuting, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule in the future. The base is the Chinook Building, located at 401 5th Ave in Seattle.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Employees must reside in WA state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. There will be situations where the employee is required to report to a County worksite. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required by the department in alignment with the Public Health Directive from the Seattle & King County Public Health Officer.
