Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger by reconciling general ledger accounts, performing account analyses, posting general journal entries, and posting correcting journal entries for P1 Dental and its affiliated companies. The position may assist in processing payable and receivable transactions, managing the credit card processes, and all aspects of online banking for several accounts. This person will assist in the preparation of corporate financial statements with an emphasis on optimizing NetSuite financial reporting capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly and quarterly general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations for bank accounts. Compile revenue and accounts receivable information for practice locations adhering to GAAP. Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records ensuring they reconcile with the General Ledger and Capital Expenditure reports. Maintain debt schedules, prepare amortization reports, forecast future outflows relating to debt. Analyze general ledger accounts and explain large variances. Administer the corporate credit and Amazon programs, ensuring compliance with company policies. Compile historical information for acquired companies and enter data into NetSuite. Prepare and post journal entries as requested by manager. Complete monthly sales/use tax returns for several states and localities. Complete annual personal property tax returns for several states and localities. Serve as back-up for Accounts Payable Specialist position. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related work experience. 5+ years related work experience. Multi-entity, multi-state healthcare experience required. NetSuite experience a plus, cloud-based accounting software experience required. Integral team player and self-starter identifying areas for continuous improvement to propel the department and company forward. Commitment to professional development as demonstrated by ability to adapt to change, manage stress load and work in a collaboratively. Efficient and quick processing of workload through strong multitasking and prioritization skills, displaying effective time management and seeking assistance when needed.
