Staff Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This position is based in Franklin, Indiana, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to full-cycle accounting operations within the automotive industry. Candidates will work on-site five days a week and play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and processes. Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Prepare and record journal entries to maintain the general ledger. Handle corporate tax-related tasks, including sales tax calculations and corporate tax return preparation. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely reporting of financial data. Utilize S2K systems to perform accounting functions and improve workflow efficiency. Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity. Support month-end and year-end closing procedures. Analyze financial statements and provide insights for decision-making. Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors. Requirements
Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Proficiency in preparing corporate tax returns and handling sales tax calculations. Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management. Familiarity with S2K systems or similar accounting software. Ability to work on-site five days a week in Franklin, Indiana. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational abilities. Previous experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
