The job: As an Assistant Executive Steward at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, you will be responsible for assigned operational functions within the department. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create wow memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us. The day-to-day: Supervise departmental operations to align with strategic plans, budgets, and profitability goals. Ensure guest service delivery meets the company's core standards and brand expectations. Manage staff: hiring in line with diversity goals, training, coaching, providing feedback, administering discipline, and scheduling. Recommend new products, services, technologies, and process improvements. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and kitchen areas to maintain cleanliness and sanitation. Requisition and approve new or replacement equipment and cleaning supplies, monitoring costs without compromising quality. Maintain inventory and records for dinnerware, flatware, and glassware; order china, glass, and silver as needed.
