Collins Aerospace is currently seeking qualified candidates for entry level engineers in our Military Avionics & Helicopters Flight Management and Controls department located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. . Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader. Primary Responsibilities:
Teams are comprised of cross-functional engineers working in an AGILE environment (approximately 6-10 people) focused on the design and development of software only products

CAAS/Flight 2 Flight Management Solutions - Our signature products for Military Avionics and Helicopters as part of the Collins Integrated Avionics Systems, fielded on thousands of aircraft today, at this moment. FACE (Future Airborne Capability Environment) - Our software as a product used to support not only navigation, flight planning, and guidance with our MFMS-1000 solution, but also hazard avoidance in real time as part of our Avoidance Re-Router (ARR-7000), which are being deployed on a variety of emerging platforms and next generation pursuits. This position requires the commitment of professional working hours that may require the employee to extend beyond a typical 7:30am to 4:30pm workday, or beyond a 40 hour work week.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred qualifications:
Working knowledge of at least one of the following: C, C++, ADA, and Python
Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance (Classified as a US Person)
Willingness to travel (domestic and international
