6 months (Possibility of extension or conversion) Description

The System Engineer plays a crucial role in the Robotics deployment team. They oversee the installation, troubleshooting, integration, and commissioning of Robotics equipment in new and existing fulfillment centers (FCs). This field engineering-based position demands strong technical skills for deploying robotic equipment, including working with mechanical systems, electrical, configuring networking, and coordinating software systems. While training is provided on the specific systems that the engineers will be working on, a candidate should have foundational knowledge of robotics, networked mechanical systems, and electrical systems. Basic Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering or closely related STEM field. Experience working on mechanical, electrical, IT networked, or software systems. Understanding of data collection, reporting processes, and ability to make data-driven decisions. Ability to read technical drawings and/or reading CAD models to resolve on-site clash issues using 3D clash detection reports. Ability to troubleshoot robotics systems to resolve escalations including quality hand-off, live order testing, site acceptance testing, operational readiness testing, monitoring robotics system performance, etc. Ability to read and develop technical documentation and process instructions. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work primarily in a construction or warehouse environment in a field-based role and travel extensively across the US and potentially internationally. Must be proficient in standard office software tools and processes. Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years of experience working in a field engineering, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environment. Proven experience working on hardware integration or complex mechanical-electrical or networked industrial equipment. Ability to demonstrate past use of data to drive decision making processes. Practical understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP). Ability to take independent initiative when presented with a business need. Knowledge of robot specific experience (Fanuc, ABB), Allen Bradley PLC experience. C++, Python, Java, etc. Seniority level
