Employment Type:
Travel 2994709 L&D RN needed for a very high-acuity obstetrics unit caring for complex pregnancy diagnoses including preterm labor, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, fetal anomalies, multiples, IUFD, and high-risk deliveries. Nurse must be seasoned with no first-time traveler submissions accepted. Responsibilities include managing high-risk labors, circulating for C-sections, assisting with vaginal deliveries, and providing care for antepartum and postpartum patients. EPIC charting required. Guaranteed hours subject to one facility call-off per pay period.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancy cases and obstetric emergencies
Circulate and assist with cesarean sections, D&Cs, cerclage procedures, and vaginal deliveries
Manage antepartum patients with conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and preterm labor
Perform and interpret fetal monitoring including abnormal heart rate pattern recognition
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Float between units/facilities within the health system as required

Requirement Details Certifications (Required) BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (Advanced preferred) State License California – Active, must be in hand (No Temp Licenses) Experience 2+ years recent L&D experience – Required (HARD STOP) Charting System Epic – Required Travel Experience Required – First-time travelers not accepted Patient Ratio 1:1 or 1:2 Weekend Requirement Per hospital scheduling procedures Floating Required – Must float between facilities within system Computer Skills Proficient with EPIC and computerized documentation Other Mandatory Skills C-section circulation, high-risk labor management, D&C, cerclage, fetal monitoring Vaccine (COVID-19) Not Required Flu Vaccine Unknown First-Time Travelers Not Accepted RTO All RTO must be declared at submission; limited approval Orientation Policy 72 hours non-billable; additional modules (~16 hrs) required pre-start
