Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $2,305.00 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $828.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,477.00 Per Week
Job Summary:
The James Corrections Health Unit is seeking experienced
Progressive Care Registered Nurses
to provide high-quality patient care within a secure corrections environment. RNs will float between PCU and MS assignments based on unit needs and must be comfortable working in a locked facility with inmate patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to oncology and medical-surgical patients.
Monitor and manage dysrhythmias and perform telemetry.
Administer medications including cardiac drips (non-titrating), PCA, and IV insulin.
Perform IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration.
Manage tracheostomies, high-flow oxygen, and CPAP/BiPAP therapies.
Support interdisciplinary care with RT, PT, Pharmacy, and other departments.
Float to various oncology MS and PCU units as required.
Adhere to safety protocols in a corrections facility; CO presence is 1:2 ratio.
Required Qualifications:
Active
RN license
(compact or OH)
in hand at submission
Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or MS experience
Epic charting
experience required
BLS and ACLS
(NIHSS preferred) Oncology experience preferred, not required
