Senior Software Architect

The Senior Software Architect is a technical leader that designs and builds solutions specific for the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions application and drives the efficiency and effectiveness of our growing SIS team to help them thrive while ensuring best practices. The Consultant works closely with Product Owners, taking business requirements and transforming them into technical specifications, then identifying and configuring technical solutions. Duties and Responsibilities: Architecting technical solutions for the Student Information system, including gathering requirements and developing technical specifications. Developing integrations and customizations, including some complex programming at a senior level. Conducting retrofit analysis during patch fixes and application upgrades. Addressing complex production issues. Providing production support as necessary. Investigate and resolve software issues and defects reported, work with technical analysts to research problems and find and implement solutions. Providing operation optimization opportunities as appropriate. Ensuring the quality of deliverables by conducting unit testing and supporting system testing. Mentoring junior PeopleSoft developers as needed. Work closely with IT staff to mentor, advise, and help build their knowledge in Peoplesoft. Work closely with Integration Teams across different departments in designing, architecting and solutioning of an application using industry best practices and methodologies. Managing a Team of resources, their work allocation, prioritization as necessary. Provide project leadership and management as required or directed. Organize, lead, and manage meetings involving management and key stakeholders. Establish and implement SDLC processes for all phases of the project. Education & Experience Requirements: Minimum of 8 years of PeopleSoft technical developer experience, which includes a minimum of 5 years of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong work ethic, responsibility, and dedication. Strong initiative and leadership skills. Proven experience in the full life cycle of developing, testing, and supporting applications within a PeopleSoft environment. Tuition Remission: Immediate availability for Regular Exempt Staff. Spouses and dependent children are eligible for undergraduate tuition remission after two years of service. NOTE: For part-time employees (at least 50 percent of the time), tuition remission benefits are prorated. Hiring Range: $162,000.00 - $172,400.00
