We’re seeking an experienced, organized, and passionate Events & Banquets Director to lead our events department and bring our spaces to life through exceptional execution, leadership, and service.
Job Overview:
The Events & Banquets Director serves as a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing banquet and catering initiatives across Lotus Concepts Management’s diverse restaurant portfolio. This role provides operational direction, champions innovation, and ensures the seamless delivery of high-quality events that reflect the company’s standards and brand identity. Collaborating closely with leadership, culinary, and front-of-house teams, the Director guides and supports individual venue teams to achieve event-related goals, uphold service and quality standards, and drive departmental profitability. A key focus of this role is to cultivate a culture of excellence, consistency, and hospitality, ensuring every event delivers a memorable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all private and large-scale events across assigned venues.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
Partner with executive and property leadership to align catering strategies with Lotus Concepts Management goals, brand positioning, and revenue targets.
Collaborate with the culinary, bar, and operations teams to ensure smooth and cohesive event execution. Lead post-event reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
Create and manage event proposals, BEOs (Banquet Event Orders), timelines, and floor plans.
Coordinate with event staff, including setup and breakdown crews, servers, and bartenders as needed.
Monitor and manage event budgets, invoicing, deposits, and billing reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and service standards.
Continuously evaluate and improve event processes, logistics, and guest experience. Identify and scale innovative practices that enhance guest experience, operational efficiency, and team performance.
Mentor and support Banquet Managers and Event Coordinators in their day-to-day responsibilities, professional development, and leadership skills.
Drive event sales through outreach, client retention, and creative promotions.
Communicate with clients during planning and execution phases, ensuring a seamless and professional experience across all touchpoints.
Maintain vendor relationships and oversee rental coordination when needed.
Represent the brand at external promotional events and networking functions.
Qualifications:
7+ years of progressive experience in banquets & catering with a concentration in F&B operations.
3+ years in a multi-unit or corporate-level role.
Strong leadership and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in event management software, POS systems, and MS Office/Google Suite.
High attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
This position operates in an office and on-property in restaurant settings. Must be comfortable working in both corporate office environments and active event spaces.
The role requires regular travel (Denver, Boulder, Centennial, Littleton, and Colorado Springs) to support properties across the portfolio.
Exposure to variable noise levels, temperature changes, and crowded conditions during on-site event execution
