Are you a seasoned sales leader with strong leadership experience? Are you looking to join a growing organization? Timpte is seeking a General Sales Manager – East to lead our team. The role involves achieving targeted gross margin levels and market share results within factory-direct retail sales and dealer sales territories.
Essential Functions
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and implement go-to-market sales channel and distribution strategies supporting Timpte’s Mission and AOP targets for all Timpte wholegood sales in your region.
- Develop and utilize factory-direct retail and dealer sales channels to meet AOP targets, prioritizing metrics such as Semitrailer MS%, standard margins, unit sales, and sales expense management.
- Gather and share relevant sales team information to ensure effective planning, cost control, inventory management, and forecasting.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly closing targets for semitrailers and equipment trailers.
- Support New Product Development programs to meet milestones and sales targets for new models.
- Collaborate with Customer Support and other departments to develop business management reporting systems that improve workflow efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in developing marketing and promotional materials, including catalogs, brochures, social media, website updates, advertising campaigns, and trade shows.
- Gather, analyze, and share market and competitive intelligence to support NPD programs and pricing strategies.
- Recruit and retain sales team members based on business needs and financial metrics.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 10-15 years of progressive sales experience, including managing a sales or dealer team with over $100M in annual revenue.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills with a comprehensive understanding of business operations and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record for extensive travel.
