Are you a seasoned sales leader with strong leadership experience? Are you looking to join a growing organization? Timpte is seeking a General Sales Manager – East to lead our team. The role involves achieving targeted gross margin levels and market share results within factory-direct retail sales and dealer sales territories.

Essential Functions

  1. Primary Responsibilities:
  2. Identify, develop, and implement go-to-market sales channel and distribution strategies supporting Timpte’s Mission and AOP targets for all Timpte wholegood sales in your region.
  3. Develop and utilize factory-direct retail and dealer sales channels to meet AOP targets, prioritizing metrics such as Semitrailer MS%, standard margins, unit sales, and sales expense management.
  4. Gather and share relevant sales team information to ensure effective planning, cost control, inventory management, and forecasting.
  5. Consistently meet or exceed monthly closing targets for semitrailers and equipment trailers.
  6. Support New Product Development programs to meet milestones and sales targets for new models.
  7. Collaborate with Customer Support and other departments to develop business management reporting systems that improve workflow efficiency and productivity.
  8. Assist in developing marketing and promotional materials, including catalogs, brochures, social media, website updates, advertising campaigns, and trade shows.
  9. Gather, analyze, and share market and competitive intelligence to support NPD programs and pricing strategies.
  10. Recruit and retain sales team members based on business needs and financial metrics.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 10-15 years of progressive sales experience, including managing a sales or dealer team with over $100M in annual revenue.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with a comprehensive understanding of business operations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record for extensive travel.
