Are you a seasoned sales leader with strong leadership experience? Are you looking to join a growing organization? Timpte is seeking a General Sales Manager – East to lead our team. This role involves achieving targeted gross margin levels and market share results within factory-direct retail sales and dealer sales territories.
Essential Functions
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and implement go-to-market sales channel and distribution strategies supporting Timpte’s Mission and AOP targets across all Timpte wholegood sales within your geographic region.
- Develop and utilize factory-direct retail and dealer sales channels to meet AOP targets in existing and new markets, focusing on semitrailer MS%, standard margins, equipment trailer unit sales, and sales expense management.
- Gather and share relevant information from your sales team to facilitate sales and operations planning, raw material costs, inventory levels, and sales forecasting.
- Meet or exceed monthly closing targets for semitrailers and equipment trailers.
- Support New Product Development (NPD) programs to meet milestones and sales targets for new models.
- Collaborate with Customer Support and other departments to develop business management reporting systems that improve workflow efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in developing marketing and promotional materials, including catalogs, brochures, social media, website updates, advertising campaigns, and trade show participation.
- Collect and analyze market intelligence to support NPD programs and pricing strategies.
- Recruit and retain sales team members based on business needs and financial metrics.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 10-15 years of sales experience with management of a sales or dealer distribution team generating over $100M+ in annual sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills with a comprehensive understanding of business operations and adherence to best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record for extensive travel.
