ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Relationship building with NAE members and donors: (75%)
- Collaborate with the director of development to set annual fundraising goals and help execute plans to deliver experiences and events that support major, annual, planned, and corporate giving.
- Actively manage a portfolio of major gift prospects including qualification/discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship through face-to-face meetings, Zoom calls, phone calls, and emails. Travel locally and nationally to visit prospects.
- Communicate with and meet prospective and current donors to the NAE, engaging them with the organization's programs and activities.
- Ensure donors receive timely and personalized stewardship via handwritten notes, emails, reports, and acknowledgments.
Outreach, engagement, and stewardship for NAE programs and NAE sections (25%)
- Foster and implement alumni engagement strategies through targeted outreach efforts.
- Coordinate ongoing outreach to new NAE members and encourage section giving.
- Provide technical and creative writing support for internal and external communications, highlighting stories of donor and alumni engagement, and crafting proposals for fundraising support.
- Build strong working relationships with program directors and NAE leadership.
- Coordinate section outreach efforts with the Director of Annual Giving, engaging section chairs, class chairs, and members in philanthropy.
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Development in preparing for meetings, including drafting letters, emails, fundraising reports, analyzing giving trends, and creating presentation materials.
- Assist with portfolio management, prospect prioritization, and visit outreach.
- Coordinate with research and advancement services for donor/prospect updates.
- Participate in weekly meetings related to annual giving, donor relations, and planned giving to proactively address fundraising needs.
