As our firm scales, we’re looking to strengthen the core of our investment engine with a strategic hire: Director of Investments.

Position Summary

The Director of Investments will lead the firm’s investment operations and model portfolio governance. This role is responsible for trade oversight, platform optimization, process improvement, and investment committee leadership. You will work closely with senior leadership to elevate both efficiency and accountability across the entire investment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Investment Committee and oversee model portfolio construction and updates
• Implement and enforce trade execution oversight, reconciliation, and error-prevention systems
• Design and maintain pre- and post-trade error detection frameworks
• Oversee investment research, due diligence, and manager selection
• Manage investment platforms and explore automation and AI integration opportunities
• Collaborate with compliance to ensure regulatory adherence
• Continuously evaluate and improve workflows across investment operations
• Produce and present portfolio performance analytics and insights to firm leadership
• Mentor junior analysts and foster a high-performance, low-error culture
• Own the integrity and evolution of trading and operational governance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in investment operations, portfolio management, or institutional investing
• Proven leadership in workflow optimization and error reduction
• Deep expertise with investment platforms like Orion, Tamarac, or Black Diamond
• CFA designation strongly preferred
• Operational experience in RIA, wealth management, or asset management firms
• Working knowledge of trade automation tools (e.g., iRebal, Blaze Portfolio) and CRM integration
• Familiarity with AI tools for investment monitoring, error-checking, or process analysis
• Exceptional cross-functional communication skills and a systems-thinking mindset
• Must work in-person from our Woodland Hills headquarters
