Accounting Manager (Hybrid, Boston)
A leading asset manager, in Boston, is seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to support monthly close processes, financial reporting, audits, and fee billing. This role reports to the Head of Finance & Accounting and offers broad exposure across financial operations in a collaborative, high-performing environment. This person must have a minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting/audit experience.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly and quarterly close processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Review accounts payable and other routine reports for completeness and accuracy
  • Calculate management fees and prepare client invoices in line with agreements
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements
  • Assist with year-end audit, including documentation and responses to audit requests
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies in financial reporting workflows
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, ideally in asset management or financial services
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with SQL, Tableau, or Power BI a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Must be willing to work on a hybrid schedule in Boston, 3X onsite
