Join our client's elite Transaction Services team in Boston as an Associate, Transaction Services , where you’ll provide technical accounting, financial reporting, and deal support for private credit and debt transactions. Reporting to the Head of Transaction Services, you’ll thrive in a flexible hybrid role (2 days/week onsite, flexible days), driving innovation in a high-impact environment.
Salary : Up to $175,000 (DOE, with flex potential for exceptional candidates) + 15% bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Location : Flexible hybrid role based in Boston, MA (local Boston-area candidates only, 2 days/week onsite in Back Bay, flexible days).

What You’ll Do:

• Research and document technical accounting for complex transactions, including private credit, debt, and structured financing.
• Apply GAAP, IFRS, and statutory accounting standards to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare accounting policy memos and executive-level presentations for deal conclusions.
• Support deal structuring by reviewing contracts and providing accounting guidance during due diligence.
• Conduct consolidation assessments for new and existing legal entities and SPVs.
• Collaborate with investment professionals, corporate finance, and external auditors to streamline deal execution.
• Enhance financial reporting processes for accuracy and compliance across asset classes.
• Build strong partnerships across the organization to support transaction success.
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 8+ years in Big 4 or large national accounting firm (Manager/Senior Manager level) or technical accounting role in private industry; credit/debt industry expertise required.
• Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Certifications: CPA required.
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and statutory accounting; experience with complex financial instruments (e.g., derivatives, securitization).
• Knowledge: Proven track record in private credit and debt transactions; consolidation expertise a plus.
• Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mindset: Collaborative, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
