Job Purpose

The Vice President of Marketing is a strategic and operational leader responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive marketing vision that drives growth across all business lines—equipment sales, rentals, aftermarket service, and parts—with a focus on industry-specific growth in the construction, mining, and energy markets. Serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the VP of Marketing will lead the development and execution of the company’s brand, demand generation, customer engagement, and digital strategy – looking to fuel revenue growth, enhance the customer experience, and strengthen the company’s leadership position.

Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute a marketing strategy that drives growth, aligns with revenue goals, and guides company positioning and messaging.
  2. Rental and Aftermarket Marketing: Design campaigns to increase fleet utilization, promote maintenance, and develop loyalty strategies.
  3. Vertical Market Strategy: Create segment-specific messaging for construction, mining, and power markets, and track performance.
  4. Caterpillar, Inc. Collaboration: Ensure brand alignment, co-create marketing programs, and participate in advisory groups.
  5. Digital Marketing & Demand Generation: Lead digital transformation, develop campaigns, and measure performance with KPIs.
  6. Field Marketing & Regional Execution: Build regional marketing playbooks, support events, and utilize VOC and NPS insights.
  7. Brand & Communications: Manage all communications, oversee content creation, and ensure brand consistency.
  8. Team Leadership & Budget Management: Lead marketing teams, define goals, manage budgets, and oversee vendors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years in marketing leadership within heavy equipment, energy, or industrial sectors.
  • Proven success in demand generation, digital marketing, and team leadership.
  • Experience with OEM partnerships, CRM, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and industry knowledge.
