Commercial Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Denver office. This role focuses on complex commercial and construction litigation matters. Ideal candidates will bring 3–5 years of litigation experience, a strong academic background, and demonstrated skills in legal research, writing, and courtroom preparation.

Location: Denver, Colorado

Duties:

1. Draft and review pleadings, legal memoranda, motions, and briefs
2. Conduct legal research and case analysis
3. Manage discovery processes and case files
4. Participate in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
5. Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop litigation strategies
6. Ensure compliance with procedural rules and deadlines
7. Contribute to client communication and case updates

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of litigation experience
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Colorado (or eligibility to waive in)

Skills:

• Exceptional legal research and writing skills
• Strong drafting abilities for pleadings and legal documents
• Familiarity with court procedures and litigation processes
• Experience in commercial or construction litigation preferred
• Trial experience is a plus
