The attorney in this position will represent clients in high-volume nonimmigrant (NIV) and immigrant (IV) petitions, PERM labor certifications, J-1 waivers, Physician National Interest Waivers, National Interest Waivers, and O-1 and EB-1 petitions. The role includes supervising paralegals and legal assistants and collaborating closely with senior attorneys to ensure the highest quality of legal services.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in a variety of complex business immigration matters.
- Supervise and collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals to ensure timely and accurate filings.
- Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients through professionalism, proactive communication, and consistency.
- Remain organized and responsive, working closely with senior attorneys and paralegal managers to manage priorities and deadlines.
- Promote a positive, respectful work environment and demonstrate a team-oriented mindset.
- Assist in training initiatives for staff and clients.
- Proactively communicate essential information to team members to support accurate, informed decision-making.
- Participate in process improvement efforts and help implement solutions.
- Support paralegal managers in assigning and prioritizing casework.
Qualifications
- Admission to any U.S. state bar or the District of Columbia bar (or pending admission).
- 0–2 years of experience practicing immigration law. Prior immigration experience (as a paralegal, law clerk, or similar) is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently while meeting internal and external deadlines.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to clients navigating complex personal and professional immigration issues.
- Firm understanding of ethical rules governing attorney-client and intra-office communications.
- Technological proficiency or the ability to quickly learn new systems including case management software, Microsoft Office, and project management tools like ClickUp.
- Willingness to contribute to team efforts and assist others as needed.
Minimum Education
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree

- Sufficient vision (close, color, adjustable focus) and hearing to communicate and respond to clients and team members effectively.
- Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks, such as data entry and typing, for extended periods.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and navigate an office environment, including moving between floors and reaching for files.
- Capability to perform tasks in a moderately noisy setting.
