Emergency Department RN – Float Pool

Location: 1 Genesys Pkwy, Grand Blanc, MI 48439
Unit: Emergency Department (ED Float Pool)
Facility Type: Union Facility, Level II Trauma Center
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
# of Openings: 1
Interview Type: Manager will call candidates directly
Offer Type: Interview Required

Shift Details:

• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shift)
• Float Schedule: Assigned every 4 hours
• Float Coverage: Emergency Department and ED Observation only

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required

Patient Ratio:

• 1:5 (may increase based on case load)

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• ACLS – Required
• BLS – Required
• Active Michigan RN license – Required

Preferred/Additional Certifications:

• TNCC
• ENPC or PALS
• NIHSS
• CPI

Job Summary:

The Emergency Department RN provides leadership in delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include:

• Using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to manage care
• Delegating, supervising, and documenting care and patient/family education
• Communicating relevant patient information with the healthcare team
• Identifying and resolving variances from patient goals and ensuring solutions are implemented
