The Washington, D.C. office of Nelson Mullins is seeking a
Legal Executive Assistant
with experience supporting government officials, policy advisors, attorneys, or business executives. Experience in Congressional or Executive Offices is a plus. We are looking for a proactive, team-oriented professional passionate about growing a legal business and litigation practice. This role supports a fast-paced, collaborative team, assisting with executive-level business development, technical tasks, and legal and policy analysis. Responsibilities include managing and updating the Client Relationship Manager (Salesforce), maintaining business development documents, and keeping Excel spreadsheets and contact lists current and organized. You will log all emails, calls, and meetings, prepare weekly follow-up lists, and coordinate email communications and calendars with internal teams and external clients. You will participate in weekly business development meetings, conduct research to support client outreach, and prepare reports on trends among Fortune 500 companies and relevant client matters. You will also support client service by greeting visitors and ensuring a professional experience. The ideal candidate will have proven experience supporting government officials, policy advisors, attorneys, or business executives, with excellent communication skills. Strong organizational, critical thinking, time management, and leadership abilities are essential. The role requires managing calendars, tasks, and deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. A bachelor’s degree and prior experience in a client service role are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is necessary. Experience with data analysis, pivot tables, and charts is preferred. Demonstrated ability to generate business and operate as a self-starter with a solutions-oriented mindset is critical. Preferred qualifications include a background in logistics management or IT, familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, and project management tools like Asana, Trello, or ClickUp. Experience with sales and marketing tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo/Apollo, and Mailchimp is highly desirable. Compensation for this position ranges from $66,000 to $90,000 annually, with potential for merit-based raises and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
