Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for our Women and Children's unit. This role requires comprehensive LDRP experience and the ability to provide full-scope care from labor through postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate will be proficient in neonatal resuscitation and postpartum care in a community hospital setting that requires floating within the women's health service line.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience
with LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) experience required
Certifications:
BLS and NRP required; ACLS, PALS/PEARS, and STABLE preferred
Technical Skills:
Epic electronic medical record system experience within the past 2 years is REQUIRED and non-negotiable
Travel Experience:
Prior travel experience required - no first-time travelers
Neonatal Skills:
Experience as baby nurse at delivery, initiating/participating in neonatal resuscitations, assigning APGAR scores, and administering newborn medications post-delivery
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including fetal monitoring, delivery assistance, and immediate postpartum recovery
Function as baby nurse during deliveries, leading neonatal resuscitation when necessary
Assign APGAR scores and provide immediate newborn care including medication administration
Manage postpartum patients and newborns in the LDRP model of care
Float within the women's health service line as needed
Participate in call coverage (2 twelve-hour shifts in a rolling 4-week timeframe) Work every other weekend and major holidays as scheduled

Full women's health service line including potential floating to related units

Weekends:
Every other weekend required
Call:
