American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer with at least one year of cardiac ultrasound experience, registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS) and BLS certified through the AHA.Job Details•Work in a hospital-based cardiac imaging department,•Primary responsibilities include adult and geriatric echocardiograms, with occasional pediatric and adolescent cases,•Schedule is Monday through Friday with 8-hour day shifts and variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM,•Weekend rotation coverage required between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM,•Occasional call coverage may be requested,•Must be willing to float to different units or locations within the organization depending on staffing needs,•Uses both stationary and portable ultrasound equipment,•Performs transthoracic echo, transesophageal echo, stress echo (including dobutamine and treadmill), and carotid duplex studies,Job Requirements•Minimum of one year recent cardiac ultrasound experience required,•Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS) required,•BLS certification through American Heart Association required,•Graduation from a CAAHEP-approved ultrasound program or Associate Degree in Biological Sciences, Radiology, Ultrasound, or related health sciences field,•License required if applicable,•Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the work site,•Locals are not accepted for this position,Additional Information•Independently perform and record non-invasive cardiac ultrasound studies, adapting procedures based on patient anatomy and pathology,•Communicate preliminary examination impressions to supervising physicians,•Serve as a clinical instructor and resource for fellows, residents, visiting physicians, and ultrasound students,•May participate in clinical research projects and competency renewals,•Expected to pass pre-employment telemetry testing with strict criteria, with up to two attempts provided,•Holiday coverage and rotating weekend shifts are expected,•Scrub attire requirements to follow department policy,•Facility provides structured orientation, typically about one week,•First-time travelers will be considered on some units,•RTO requests generally limited to no more than two weeks per contract,],•hash,:•5404202599923911108,
