Starrett Webber Gage Division Job title: Shipping and receiving Location: Westlake, OH Terms: Full Time Requirements: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm, occasional Saturday shifts About the role: Responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming materials, ensuring all packages are securely packed, accurately labelled, and dispatched on schedule. Team members create shipping labels and packing slips, schedule pickups with carriers, document all transactions in a computerized system, and help manage shipping costs to maintain efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities:

Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labelling, and coordinating carrier pickups to guarantee timely delivery. Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, reporting any discrepancies or damages. Maintain and organize inventory in the stockroom through regular cleaning, cataloguing items, and securing storage space for new deliveries. Generate and manage shipping documents-such as invoices, bills of lading, and packing slips-and update shipping logs in the company's system. Track, trace, and update the status of all shipments, proactively communicating delays or issues to logistics, customer service teams, and external partners. Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipping or inventory discrepancies and optimize workflow. Monitor shipping supplies levels and reorder packaging materials to prevent interruptions in daily operations. Ability to listen and follow through with instructions. Must be self-motivated you will be working independently. Must be meticulous, attention to detail and double check everything. Must be able to use problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise. Follow all health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents. Cross training is a requirement. This will be done where there is a need for back up. You may be trained in multiple areas of production. Upon completion of cross-training, you may be reassigned to different locations at your supervisor's discretion to help maintain consistent production flow. Perform all other duties assigned. Candidate requirements:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. Familiarity with shipping methods, carrier services, packaging best practices, and handling protocols. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to accurately document all shipping activities. Physical ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs and stand or for prolonged periods. Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members, carriers, and vendors. Must have reliable transportation.
