Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (LDRP) Contract Group: Ardent Health Services Night Shift (3x12-hour shifts, 18:00 - 06:30) Overview:
Join the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit at Lovelace Regional Hospital, providing specialized nursing care to laboring patients, newborns, and postpartum mothers. This position requires strong skills in couplet care, labor management, and cesarean section recovery. First-time travel nurses welcome.
Manage care for laboring patients, including vaginal deliveries and cesarean section recoveries. Provide couplet care for mother and newborn, ensuring rooming-in. Support breastfeeding and provide lactation assistance. Assess and care for newborns, including newborn assessments, thermoregulation, hypoglycemia management, and phototherapy. Assist with circumcision and post-op care. Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services. Float within similar units as needed based on staffing requirements. Current and valid NM or Compact RN license. Minimum 1 year experience in Labor & Delivery and couplet care/LDRP preferred. Familiarity with Epic documentation system. Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend (12 weekend shifts per contract). Scrubs provided (purple, navy blue, or any color allowed by facility). Must be flexible to cover schedule gaps and float within unit scope. Previous charge nurse experience. Teaching hospital and community hospital experience.
