Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Branchburg, New Jersey. This is a contract position for 1-2 months where you will play a vital role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and processing timely payments to vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes. Responsibilities: Process and verify invoices to ensure proper coding and accurate payment processing. Obtain necessary approvals for all invoices from relevant managers. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payments. Conduct audits on invoices to confirm accuracy of amounts. Maintain thorough records of vendor claims and payment histories. Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all accounts are balanced. Generate weekly bill-pay reports and execute payment processing. Utilize SAP and other tools to manage accounts payable workflows efficiently. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial operations and address payment queries. Requirements: Previous experience in accounting, finance, or a related field. Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including account coding and invoice management. Strong skills in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. Familiarity with systems such as SAP for financial operations.
