Database Administrator
for a
contract
with a client in
Stamford, CT(Hybrid).
The candidate must have hands-on experience managing Postgres and MySQL databases on AWS, with a strong grasp of cloud security and IAM roles.
Rate Range:
$45/hour to 52/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Database Administrator job responsibilities include:
Manage and maintain cloud-based databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance. Implement and monitor cloud database security, including authentication mechanisms and IAM role configurations. Perform version upgrades and apply patches to RDBMS systems while ensuring minimal downtime. Ensure compliance with risk controls and best practices for cloud database management. Support CI/CD processes by deploying database code and configuration changes in alignment with development workflows. Troubleshoot and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient query execution and resource utilization. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in database administration, with a focus on cloud-based DBMS. Hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL and MySQL databases on AWS. Strong understanding of cloud database security, IAM roles, and CI/CD deployment processes. Pay Details:
$45.00 to $52.00 per hour
