Description
The Department of Pathology is seeking a Clerk III to greet patients, donors, and visitors in the DeGowin Blood Center and on blood drives. Perform and coordinate clerical work, schedule donors and patients, assist with clinic reception duties, purchase and receive supplies and other items. This position is 100 %
time ,
with a rotating schedule of 3 weeks from 7:30am to 4:00pm and one week of 11:00am to 7:30pm with some flexibility for coverage ,
rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call.
Duties to include:
• Performs customer service on phone and in person.
• Multiple patient, donor, and blood drive related tasks.
• Purchases supplies and requested items and/or enters receipts into People Soft/Oracle according to policy.
• Attends blood drives as scheduled.
• Interacts with staff and public in a professional manner.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Any combination of related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full-time employment. Special Qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to meet Fleet Safety Standards. Desirable Qualifications
Ability to transport and move supplies and inventory is highly desired. Ability to adapt to multiple computer programs. Competent use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Attention to detail needed for financial and regulatory tasks. Demonstrate abilities to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form. Ability to make decisions requiring interpretation and judgment. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience with high volume public contact. Ability to provide excellent customer service skills. Position and Application details:
