The Department of Pathology is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician I to perform phlebotomy/specimen collection, and a variety of laboratory tasks related to phlebotomy: labeling specimens, telephone inquiries, and distribution of phlebotomy supplies. This position is 50% time, Monday
Friday, from 1400-1800. Duties to include: Performs phlebotomy draws. Performs computer data entry and other clerical tasks as required. Orders, receives, and distributes supplies. Responds to basic phlebotomy inquiries and otherwise represents assigned and related work areas. Administers select medications as designated per protocol. Special Qualifications (if appropriate): Previous public contact/customer service experience. Desirable Qualifications: Completion of a phlebotomy training program or previous phlebotomy experience is desirable. Minimum 6 months previous experience working in a healthcare setting is desirable. Basic computer skills are desirable. Previous experience with Personal Protective Equipment is desirable. Previous patient contact experience is desirable.
