Basic Function of the Position:
To lead the Salesforce team and support the Sales and Business Development organization by optimizing, enhancing, and maintaining the CRM and related business systems. This role is responsible for driving system efficiency through technical configuration, automation, and process improvement, ensuring the platform evolves to meet the strategic needs of the business. The Manager will oversee the implementation of new features, integrations, and data structures that improve usability, reporting, and cross-team collaboration.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Salesforce team, providing technical guidance, prioritizing workload, and ensuring the successful delivery of enhancements, automations, and system support. In partnership with the Director of CRM, oversee the configuration, optimization, and administration of Salesforce and related business systems to meet evolving organizational needs. Write user stories, develop test plans, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure new features and updates meet business requirements and perform as expected. Oversee data integrity and reconciliation processes between Salesforce and integrated platforms such as Expocad, including financial records, membership data, and other key business systems. Design, build, and maintain scalable, user-friendly reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for sales leadership and executive stakeholders. Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Marketing, Membership, and Operations to manage system integrations, ensure data alignment, and support business objectives. Work Experience:
2-3 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce administration and development, including declarative tools (Flow, Process Builder) and programmatic solutions (Apex triggers, classes, and Lightning Components). Proven experience building and managing complex Salesforce Flows and automation across multiple business processes. Proficiency in writing SOQL and SQL for queries, reports, and data analysis. Experience with third-party integrations using tools such as Zapier, APIs, or native Salesforce connectors. Background in managing system integrations between Salesforce and external platforms (e.g., financial databases, marketing automation tools). Demonstrated experience with user acceptance testing (UAT), technical documentation, and user support. Previous experience in a trade show, association, or event management environment preferred. Familiarity with tools such as Formstack, Marketing Cloud, and DocuSign is a plus. Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in
Information Systems ,
Computer Science ,
Business , or a related field - or equivalent work experience. Salesforce Administrator certification required; additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I) strongly preferred. Skills/Capabilities/Technical:
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, with hands-on experience in Apex, Flow, SOQL, and declarative configuration. Experience with system integrations and automation tools (e.g., Zapier, APIs, middleware platforms). Proficiency in data management, including data loading, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation. Advanced knowledge of reporting and dashboard design to support business intelligence and strategic decisions. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose scalable solutions. Ability to write clear technical documentation, process guides, and UAT scripts. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally with non-technical stakeholders. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with Salesforce AppExchange tools (e.g., Formstack, DocuSign, Marketing Cloud) preferred.
