Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic telemetry/med-surgical team in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients across all age groups within an accredited facility.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate and competent nursing care in alignment with established protocols.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions in a telemetry setting, ensuring timely intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document patient progress accurately.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
- Adhere to best practices and maintain compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Participate in unit activities and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in New Mexico (or ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry/medical-surgical setting.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIH.
- Ability to float to other medical-surgical units as needed.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Passion for delivering patient-centered care and supporting positive health outcomes.
Unit Information:
- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Meditech
- Supervisor: Director of Tele/Med/Surgical Units
- Patient Population: Serves all ages, including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients.
Dress Code: Scrubs are required; color can be any, but casual wear is not permitted.
