Job Description: Registered Nurse - Telemetry/Medical-Surgical Unit
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a full-time position in a Telemetry/Medical-Surgical Unit. This role will involve providing compassionate care to a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care by monitoring vital signs and interpreting telemetry.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while maintaining accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Perform assessments and respond to patient needs in a timely manner.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Shift Details:
- Night shift from 19:30 to 07:30
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Every other weekend and on-call responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, and NIH
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry nursing role
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Unit Information:
- The unit consists of 27 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) system used: Meditech
- Supervised by Director of Tele/Med/Surgical Units
