About the Role

The Company is seeking a Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs to serve as its chief academic officer. The successful candidate will be an inspirational leader with a deep understanding of the academic programs, research portfolio, and the evolving landscape of higher education. This role is pivotal in aligning with the institution's values and strategic priorities, particularly in the context of its land-grant mission and the vital role it plays in the state. The Provost will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of academic affairs, including academic deans, programs, student support services, curriculum development, faculty engagement and recruitment, academic budgets, institutional data, and accreditation. Engaging the entire academic community and forging strong, transparent relationships will be essential to securing the resources needed to support the institution's mission.

Candidates for the Provost position at the company should have an earned terminal degree, academic credentials for a tenured full professor, and a minimum of 10 years' progressive academic leadership experience, preferably in a research-intensive environment. The role requires a proven track record in advancing academic innovation and student success, as well as experience in managing complex budgets and large academic enterprises. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative leadership style, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. The Provost will be expected to work closely with deans, faculty, staff, and administration to ensure that the institution's academic and outreach programs meet the skillset and knowledge needs of the workforce and provide high-quality education and support for students.
