Technician Sr - Electro-Mechanical

Argonne is in search of Technician Sr - Electro-Mechanical to support operations for scientific programs and equipment. Operates, maintains and troubleshoots specialized equipment and completes compliance activities in the assigned facility. Responsibilities include: Perform facility surveillance requirements activities (e.g., installation, setup, quality assurance inspections, testing, and calibration of facility safety systems, proficient in the use of hand and shop tools, multimeters and basic measuring tools, install and terminate basic electronic cabling systems) on schedule. Maintain records associated with activities and operating systems as trained/instructed. Maintain logs and technical documentation by taking measurements and recording observations related to electro-mechanical system maintenance, system performance, and system modifications. Assist users and interface with engineering and maintenance personnel. Must maintain knowledge and awareness of laboratory policies and procedures. Maintains awareness of the Laboratory ES&H policies and procedures and works in compliance on a day-to-day basis. Tech Sr.- Associates degree & 5+ years, or equivalent. Qualified Electrical Worker 2 Thorough understanding of mechanical systems, tools, etc. Job Family Union Job Profile Technician Sr - Electro-Mechanical Worker Type Regular Time Type Full time The expected hiring range for this position is $38.47-$41.37. Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
