Job Description
You will lead our Biotech Business Development Leads for our Bioanalytical services, responsible for driving authorizations and revenue growth with existing Biotech accounts and expanding into new ones. Bioanalytical services are part of the Analytical Services Division (ASD). This role reports to the Vice President, Business Development, Bioanalytical and Vaccines, and is crucial for the success of our Bioanalytical commercial efforts by increasing our share of wallet with new PPD Biotech accounts.
The Bioanalytical Biotech Business Development (BD) Director will focus on expanding our network with external Biotech organizations. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent relationship-building skills to foster partnerships that support our bioanalytical laboratory business development goals.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, a deep understanding of laboratory operations, the Biotech market, and a proven track record of success in similar roles.
This position is global and can be located remotely within the United States.

Create a comprehensive plan for our Biotech Business Development team, including a compelling value proposition tailored to each Biotech account.
Build client relationships:
Establish and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key clients, including senior leaders in Procurement, R&D, and Clinical Development. Support the team in advancing these relationships.
Achieve sales targets:
Identify revenue opportunities, increase market share, develop strategies for current and new accounts, and ensure sales goals are met through share of wallet expansion and new business development.
Create strategic proposals:
Collaborate with teams to develop proposal templates, presentation materials, and a process that aligns with our value proposition, enhancing win rates.
Build and lead the team:
Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of Biotech business development leads. Set performance expectations, monitor progress, and implement improvements as needed.
Monitor and report performance:
Regularly prepare and present reports on sales activities and results to the VP of Sales, Bioanalytical Laboratory.
