This is a fast-paced level I trauma center with a high volume of orthopedic, trauma, and spine surgical cases, as well as other specialties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro surgery. Key Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR.- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.- Monitor and manage patient safety protocols in line with facility standards.- Prepare patients for surgery and assist during surgical procedures.- Utilize advanced surgical techniques and equipment effectively.- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control standards.- Document patient care accurately using the Cerner charting system. Qualifications: - Active and unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid, participating compact license.- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level I trauma center OR.- Experience with various surgical cases including craniotomies and spine procedures.- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure.- Willingness to participate in on-call and weekend shifts as needed. Special Requirements: - Experience in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro surgery required.- Candidates must be comfortable floating to other areas within the hospital as needed based on staffing and patient care needs.- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Unit Highlights: - Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care- Total Staffed Beds: 268- Level I Trauma center with 11 operating rooms- Free parking available for staff- High-volume and fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and multi-specialty capabilities.
