This position involves working 2 days per week with 13.5-hour call shifts, providing approximately 35-40 hours of call coverage. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in various high-stakes environments, including trauma cases, emergency craniotomies, and pediatric orthopedic surgeries. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary RN Circulator in the Operating Room, ensuring optimal patient care and safety during surgical procedures.- Provide support for trauma, neuro, ortho, and robotics surgeries, with a focus on pediatric cases.- Respond to trauma calls promptly, maintaining a maximum response time of 30 minutes.- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team and assist in case preparation and post-operative care.- Utilize the Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System and other specialized surgical equipment, including Cori, Rosa, and Mazor robots.- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Cerner EMR. Qualifications: - Current RN license (Florida or Compact) is required at the time of submission.- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in a trauma center, with hands-on experience in orthopedic and neuro surgical procedures.- Prior experience in robotic surgeries, particularly with pediatric populations, is preferred.- Certifications required: BLS; CNOR or CST preferred.- Must possess strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently under pressure. Call Schedule: - On-call coverage is required, approximately 65 hours over a 6-week schedule.- Weekend shifts are expected (2 shifts per 6 weeks). Special Requirements: - Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.- Must have Level I or Level II trauma experience, including the ability to accommodate all age groups from neonates to geriatrics.- COVID-19 vaccination is required (medical or religious exemptions accepted). Unit Details: - The position is within a busy Level II Trauma Center with a focus on orthopedic and neuro cases, including pediatric patients.- Staffing includes interdisciplinary support for comprehensive patient care and various in-hospital services.
