Accounts Receivable Specialist
Robert Half is collaborating with a reputable plumbing company in Vista, CA to hire an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist. This family-owned business has built a strong reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction. The AR Specialist will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and ensuring timely collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and send invoices to clients based on completed work orders and service agreements.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Post payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with project managers and service technicians to verify billing details.
- Prepare AR reports and assist with month-end closing.
- Maintain customer relationships and provide excellent service regarding payment inquiries.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or billing.
- Familiarity with construction or service industry billing practices is preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- High school diploma required; associate's degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
