Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Expert Software Architect within our team NYS Insurance Fund. This is a 30 month contract, hybrid (up to 50%) in Albany, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

The consulting resource will be responsible for design, coding, testing, implementation, and data migration activities for NYSIF's internal Claims Center Plus project. Includes developing front end modules, developing Oracle stored procedures to support business logic functionality, developing batch processes, architecting and developing data migration processes, integration with other related systems/processes. Front-end and back-end changes required for the Increase Field Sizes of Critical Data elements project. Production support of current claims processes. The consultant will adhere to NYSIF's application development standards, including, but not limited to, project management methodology, SDLC (software development life cycle), Enterprise Architecture standards and the IT governance process.

Qualifications:

84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Preferred Qualifications:

84 months experience in Oracle development, PL/SQL development including Table creation, Triggers, Packages, Procedures, functions, views, Advanced Queuing, SQL Tuning, and generating a data file from Oracle

84 months experience with Microsoft C#.Net and Object-Oriented Programming, developing web-based systems using Microsoft ASP.NET, MVC

60 months experience with Workers Compensation Claims Processing

36 months experience with medium to large scale data migrations. (e.g. 50-100 tables, totaling 100M - 800M rows of data), including normalization of data between old tables to new tables, data cleansing, data mapping, etc.

60 months experience with JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and HTML

48 months experience in using Microsoft Team Foundation Server or GIT in a Microsoft Windows environment, including experience in branching, Merging, and check-in/check-out.

48 months experience with Azure DevOps

48 months experience in IAIABC Standards with Workers' Compensation insurance

36 months experience with PPM Pro

The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hourly range is $ 60 .00 - $ 65 .00.
