MTSI is seeking a
Data Solution Architect
to lead the design, development, and governance of advanced data architectures aligned with organizational goals and complex enterprise ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in innovation and leadership, guiding cross-functional teams and advising senior executives to deliver scalable, secure data solutions. Key focus areas include data mesh, hybrid cloud architectures, and AI/ML pipelines. Qualifications and Requirements Architectural Focus: Experience designing and governing data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures for large-scale analytics. Proficiency in cloud-native data architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including data mesh and data fabric.
Design Thinking:
Knowledge of design thinking principles and user-centered data product design. Collaborate with UI/UX teams for intuitive system design.
Leadership and Communication:
Strong communication skills and experience advising executives, managing initiatives, and mentoring teams.
Governance and Security:
Understanding of data governance, privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA), and data security across various data types.
Technical Expertise:
Knowledge of platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse. Expertise in data modeling, data engineering, and metadata management tools.
Integration and Pipelines:
Experience with data integration tools (Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica, Fivetran). Experience with real-time streaming (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink).
Experience:
Minimum 15 years in data architecture or related fields. Proven experience in large-scale, secure data solutions.
Strategic Vision:
Ability to align technical architectures with business strategies and translate complex requirements into solutions.
AI and MLOps:
Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines and MLOps (a plus).
Certifications (Strongly Desired):
CDMP, AWS Data Analytics Specialty, Google Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF or similar.
Mission-Critical Experience:
Experience in regulated, mission-critical, government environments, including secure or classified data solutions.
Educational Background:
Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required). Masters or PhD preferred.
Work Location:
On-site at a local MTSI office.
Security Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance required; US citizenship necessary. SAP experience is a plus but not mandatory.
