In the role of Water Resources/Hydraulics Engineer, you'll be responsible for: Designing and analyzing hydraulics, including storm drain systems, culverts, and water quality treatment for projects of various sizes, working both independently and as part of a team. Preparing or overseeing design work following local, Caltrans, or FHWA standards, such as inlet design, storm drain pipe design, hydraulic calculations, culvert analysis, and water quality treatment design. Preparing and overseeing contract plans, specifications, and estimates related to hydraulic and stormwater systems. Developing project scopes, budgets, and schedules. Managing communication with clients, supporting junior engineers, writing reports, coordinating with subconsultants, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. Performing additional duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with design software such as InRoads, Microstation, AutoCAD, Hydraflow, StormCAD, HY-8, GIS, and BAHM. Required Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license. Strong leadership and communication skills. Experience with CAD civil engineering software like Bentley Open Roads Designer and Autodesk Civil 3D, and specialty platforms as required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
